Daily update is a term that describes a regular report on progress, changes, or events occurring on a daily basis. For example, a team might provide daily updates to the rest of the company during morning meetings. In your Action, you can enable users to subscribe to daily updates by configuring an intent that matches this description. When users invoke this intent, they receive a notification and follow a registration prompt—which you can display mid-conversation or as a suggestion chip when the user exits your Action—to register their device with Assistant to receive updates at the scheduled time each day.
Note: Daily updates are available on devices running Android and iOS. They appear as notifications in the Google Assistant app and on voice-activated speakers or smart displays that support the Assistant app. They do not appear on Chromecast devices.
Make sure your daily update is useful to users. If you want to encourage users to use your daily updates, you should design a compelling value proposition and show the benefit to them immediately after they trigger the intent. It’s also best to avoid repeated suggestions to subscribe, as these may annoy users and cause them to unsubscribe.
